Different Styles of Draping a Saree

  • Butterfly Style: It is a more stylish-looking way of draping a saree. In this method, the pallu is carefully fashioned like butterfly wings pinned to the front of the saree.
  • Neck style: In this modernised look, the saree is draped around the neck to look like a scarf. It is an unconventional way of draping a saree that has earned praise around the world.
  • Gujarati Style: The pallu is pinned across the bust and does not lie freely on the back. It is widely used by Gujarati women.
  • Marathi Style: This customary draping style includes the draping of pallu across the front to the shoulder and allowing it to fall freely over the shoulder to the back.
